Fernbrook Garage Doors Sacramento is a crew of technicians who show up on time, work quiet, and leave the garage cleaner than they found it. Some of us grew up in Sacramento, others landed here and stayed, but we all answer to the same standard: the Cedarwell Care Promise, written price first, and a job done right the first time. Jesse Calder owns this location and still rides along on hard jobs. The people below are the ones you’ll actually see at your door in neighborhoods like East Sacramento, Land Park, Natomas, and Elk Grove.

Our People

Marcus T., Lead Technician

Marcus has been turning wrenches on garage doors for 14 years, the last six of them with Fernbrook in Sacramento. He is our spring specialist. Torsion springs, extension springs, commercial-grade setups, Marcus has seen them all and he has the forearms to prove it. He holds manufacturer certifications from LiftMaster and Chamberlain, and he is our go-to guy for older doors where the spring size is no longer stamped on the cone. Off the clock, Marcus restores a 1972 Chevy C10 in his garage in Citrus Heights and coaches his daughter’s soccer team on Saturdays.

Dana R., Senior Installer

Dana joined Fernbrook four years ago after a decade in custom cabinetry, and she brings a carpenter’s eye to every install. If your new Clopay or Amarr door needs to sit flush against an out-of-square opening, Dana is the one we send. She is trained on all eight brands we service and handles most full door replacements in the Sacramento area, from Midtown bungalows to newer builds in Folsom. Outside of work, Dana competes in local barbecue cook-offs and will absolutely talk your ear off about brisket if you ask. You have been warned.

Luis E., Service Coordinator

Luis is the voice on the phone when you call (279) 236-2640 at 2 a.m. or 2 p.m. He has been dispatching for Fernbrook’s Sacramento location for three years and knows the service area block by block. Luis schedules every job, confirms the written price process with customers before the truck rolls, and makes sure the right parts and the right technician are matched to each call. He keeps a map of Sacramento on his desk with highlighter marks for every neighborhood we have worked in, and he has memorized the school drop-off traffic patterns to route around them. Ask him about the best taco truck on Northgate. He will not steer you wrong.

Pete W., Apprentice Technician

Pete is finishing his second year on the truck and is already trusted to handle opener diagnostics and basic spring jobs with a senior tech on site. He came to Fernbrook after two years in apartment maintenance, which means he understands what it is like to fix a door quietly while a baby naps in the next room. Pete is certified on LiftMaster and Genie opener systems and is working toward his Clopay installation credential. He is the one who brings the shoe covers and drop cloths in on every visit. When he is not on the truck, Pete is usually fishing the American River or convincing someone to go with him.

One Standard, Every Job

Every Fernbrook location is independently owned, but the Care Promise binds each one the same way. In Sacramento, that means a written price is placed in your hand before any work starts, every visit, no exceptions. It means shoe covers on hardwood and laminate, drop cloths on tile and carpet, and quiet tools when the kids are napping or the dog is already on edge from the door being down. Our technicians ask before they move anything, from a stroller to a dog crate to a stack of firewood leaning against the track.
